1. Overview

ATS Resume Optimizer (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by DEVFINIX. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
  • Usage data: We count the number of resume optimizations you perform per day (anonymously for free users) to enforce fair usage limits.
  • Payment data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we store your payment receipt and plan details. We do not store credit card numbers.
  • Resume content: We do not store your resume text or job descriptions on our servers. Your resume is sent to OpenAI’s API for processing and the result is returned directly to you. Files are saved in your browser’s localStorage only.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the ATS optimization service
  • To enforce daily usage limits on free accounts
  • To manage your subscription and billing
  • To send transactional emails (plan confirmation, support replies)

4. Third-Party Services

  • OpenAI: Resume content is processed via the OpenAI GPT-4o API. OpenAI’s privacy policy applies to content submitted for processing.
  • Google OAuth: Authentication is handled via Google Sign-In. Google’s privacy policy governs that interaction.
  • MongoDB Atlas: Account and usage data is stored in a MongoDB Atlas database hosted in a secured cloud environment.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (NextAuth.js). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent sign-in functionality.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@devfinix.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@devfinix.com.
